ACE OF TRADES

ABOUT ME

Early life

I grew up in Denham Springs, Louisiana where I spent my early years living in a trailer park.

Back then I lived in a time when everyone only knew how to make doctor money in cowboy boots.

We grew up in a home that was riddled with infertility, divorce, violence, and house fires.

Despite these adversities, being dyslexic and failing 6th grade, I persevered with my education and played football in high school as a tight end for the Denham Springs High School football team.

College

In 2005, I was invited to walk on the field at the University of Louisiana Monroe, where I eventually secured a full-ride scholarship and a spot on the football team.

We famously beat the Alabama Crimson Tide's Football team coached by Nick Saban 21-14 in 2007.

I graduated from Louisiana Monroe in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business & Science and Construction Management.

My 20s After College

After I graduated, I discovered the job I was promised in Dallas with a starting salary of $70-80k and the potential to become the VP with a salary of $150k did not exist.

I found work as a server at Texas de Brazil in Baton Rouge and assisted my stepfather in building metal buildings in backyards for $10 per hour.

While seeking other job opportunities, I stumbled upon a $40 million hospital construction project in Baton Rouge

.I regularly appeared at the job site and eventually met a manager who recognized me and offered a position.

Building My First Company

I received a per diem of $70-80k from the company and used a bank loan to obtain my commercial and residential contractors license.

My first commercial job resulted in a loss of $25,000.

To pay off my debts, I worked for another industrial company for a year before starting my company, RedIron Construction.

By 2014, I had grown the company to generate $800k in annual revenue where I hired my first project manager, which increased RedIron’s revenue to $1.5 million.

At age 28, the company had reached $2 million in revenue, allowing me to form partnerships with associations and companies across the United States.

As RedIron began to travel across the United States, it expanded to $10 million in revenue by 2022.

This year, we are on track to make $35 million in revenue and the leading metal building erection company in Louisiana.

As of today, we proudly operate 130 men alongside my management team.
